7/16/25: No decision on Lloyd pet crematorium (Southern Ulster Times)

Last Thursday evening the Town of Lloyd Zoning Board of Appeals [ZBA] meeting was again standing room only in anticipation that the board was going to render a decision on whether a proposed pet crematorium is a Service Business.

The Service Business determination, which was made by Building Department Director Dave Barton, has been roundly criticized by the public. Because citizens challenged this determination it was sent to the ZBA but their failure to render a decision at last week’s meeting has only served to anger the public and to call into question the ZBA’s independence.
